AICTE Pragati Scholarship for Girl Students (Degree & Diploma) 2026-27
₹50,000 a year for girls in the first year of an AICTE-approved technical degree or diploma. Apply on NSP by 31 October 2026.

- Eligibility
- Girl admitted to the first year of a degree/diploma (or second year by lateral entry) in an AICTE-approved institution; at most two girls per family; family income not more than ₹8 lakh a year.
- Documents required
- Aadhaar, bank account seeded with Aadhaar, previous marksheet, income certificate (where an income limit applies), fee receipt / bonafide certificate. Admission letter and tuition fee receipt.
- How to apply
- Complete One Time Registration (OTR) on the National Scholarship Portal, then fill the application for this scheme. Your institute verifies it online after you submit.
AICTE Pragati supports girls entering technical education. 5,000 scholarships a year are earmarked for degree students (a separate allocation exists for diploma), with all eligible girls from 13 UTs and North-Eastern states covered in addition.
The scholarship is paid every year of the course (up to 4 years for first-year entrants, 3 years for lateral entry) as long as you are promoted.
Dates are from the scheme list on the National Scholarship Portal for academic year 2026-27. Apply only on scholarships.gov.in (One Time Registration first). From 2026-27 a student may apply for one merit-based scheme and one or more welfare-based schemes.
