- Eligibility
- Disability of not less than 40%; first-year (or lateral-entry second-year) student in an AICTE-approved institution; family income not more than ₹8 lakh a year.
- Documents required
- Aadhaar, bank account seeded with Aadhaar, previous marksheet, income certificate (where an income limit applies), fee receipt / bonafide certificate. Disability certificate.
- How to apply
- Complete One Time Registration (OTR) on the National Scholarship Portal, then fill the application for this scheme. Your institute verifies it online after you submit.
AICTE Saksham gives every eligible specially-abled student admitted to the first year (or second year by lateral entry) of an AICTE-approved degree or diploma a scholarship for each year of study.
Dates are from the scheme list on the National Scholarship Portal for academic year 2026-27. Apply only on scholarships.gov.in (One Time Registration first). From 2026-27 a student may apply for one merit-based scheme and one or more welfare-based schemes.
