- Eligibility
- Child of a beedi, cine, IOMC or LSDM worker (see guidelines for income and course criteria).
- Documents required
- Aadhaar, bank account seeded with Aadhaar, previous marksheet, income certificate (where an income limit applies), fee receipt / bonafide certificate. Worker identity card of the parent.
- How to apply
- Complete One Time Registration (OTR) on the National Scholarship Portal, then fill the application for this scheme. Your institute verifies it online after you submit.
The Ministry of Labour & Employment provides education assistance to wards of these workers. The pre-matric component closed on 30 September 2026; the post-matric component is open until 31 October 2026.
Dates are from the scheme list on the National Scholarship Portal for academic year 2026-27. Apply only on scholarships.gov.in (One Time Registration first). From 2026-27 a student may apply for one merit-based scheme and one or more welfare-based schemes.
