PM-USP Central Sector Scholarship (CSSS) – renewals 2026-27

Renewal applications for 2026-27 are open until 31 October 2026. ₹12,000 a year at UG level and ₹20,000 at PG level.

Scholarship amount

₹12,000 per year for the first three years of graduation; ₹20,000 per year at PG level (and in the 4th/5th year of professional courses).

Eligibility

Above the 80th percentile of successful candidates in your stream in Class 12; regular (not distance) degree course; family income up to ₹4.5 lakh a year; not receiving another merit or state scholarship.

Documents required

Aadhaar, bank account seeded with Aadhaar, previous marksheet, income certificate (where an income limit applies), fee receipt / bonafide certificate.

How to apply

Complete One Time Registration (OTR) on the National Scholarship Portal, then fill the application for this scheme. Your institute verifies it online after you submit.

The Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students gives up to 82,000 fresh scholarships a year to students above the 80th percentile of their Class 12 board, with family income up to ₹4.5 lakh.

For 2026-27 NSP lists this scheme for renewal applications. NSP's notice gives the student application closing date as 31-10-2026 (institute verification 15-11-2026).
