PM USP Special Scholarship Scheme for J&K and Ladakh (SSS-JK) – renewals 2026-27
Renewal applications only for 2026-27, closing 30 September 2026. Covers tuition and a ₹1 lakh a year maintenance allowance.

- Scholarship amount
- Academic fee up to ₹30,000 (general degree), ₹1.25 lakh (engineering/professional) or ₹3 lakh (medical) a year, plus ₹1 lakh a year maintenance allowance.
- Eligibility
- Domicile of J&K or Ladakh, studying outside the UTs; renewal requires promotion to the next year.
- Documents required
- Aadhaar, bank account seeded with Aadhaar, previous marksheet, income certificate (where an income limit applies), fee receipt / bonafide certificate.
- How to apply
- Complete One Time Registration (OTR) on the National Scholarship Portal, then fill the application for this scheme. Your institute verifies it online after you submit.
The Special Scholarship Scheme for students of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh studying outside the UTs offers 5,000 fresh scholarships a year. For 2026-27 NSP lists it for renewals.
Dates are from the scheme list on the National Scholarship Portal for academic year 2026-27. Apply only on scholarships.gov.in (One Time Registration first). From 2026-27 a student may apply for one merit-based scheme and one or more welfare-based schemes.
