Post-Matric & Top Class Scholarships for Students with Disabilities 2026-27

For students with disabilities from Class 11 to PG (post-matric) and in notified top institutes (top class). Post-matric closes 31 October 2026.

Scholarship amount

Maintenance allowance, disability allowance and fee reimbursement as per the scheme guidelines.

Eligibility

Disability of 40% or more with a valid certificate; income limits as per the component (see guidelines).

Documents required

Aadhaar, bank account seeded with Aadhaar, previous marksheet, income certificate (where an income limit applies), fee receipt / bonafide certificate. Disability certificate / UDID card.

How to apply

Complete One Time Registration (OTR) on the National Scholarship Portal, then fill the application for this scheme. Your institute verifies it online after you submit.

The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities runs pre-matric (Class 9–10, closes 30 September 2026), post-matric (Class 11 to PG, 25 July – 31 October 2026) and Top Class Education (graduate/PG in notified institutes, income limit ₹8 lakh, closes 31 October 2026) scholarships on NSP.

Dates are from the scheme list on the National Scholarship Portal for academic year 2026-27. Apply only on scholarships.gov.in (One Time Registration first). From 2026-27 a student may apply for one merit-based scheme and one or more welfare-based schemes.
