Eligibility

Wards/widows of serving, retired or deceased CAPF & Assam Rifles personnel admitted to the first year of a professional degree (see guidelines).

Documents required

Aadhaar, bank account seeded with Aadhaar, previous marksheet, income certificate (where an income limit applies), fee receipt / bonafide certificate. Service certificate of the parent.

How to apply

Complete One Time Registration (OTR) on the National Scholarship Portal, then fill the application for this scheme. Your institute verifies it online after you submit.

The PM Scholarship Scheme supports technical and professional degree education for dependants of CAPF and Assam Rifles personnel. A separate PMSS exists for wards of State/UT police personnel martyred in terror/Naxal attacks, with the same 2026-27 dates.

Dates are from the scheme list on the National Scholarship Portal for academic year 2026-27. Apply only on scholarships.gov.in (One Time Registration first). From 2026-27 a student may apply for one merit-based scheme and one or more welfare-based schemes.
