Eligibility

Domicile of a North-Eastern state; passed Class 12; first year of first UG degree in regular/full-time mode.

Documents required

Aadhaar, bank account seeded with Aadhaar, previous marksheet, income certificate (where an income limit applies), fee receipt / bonafide certificate. Domicile certificate.

How to apply

Complete One Time Registration (OTR) on the National Scholarship Portal, then fill the application for this scheme. Your institute verifies it online after you submit.

Ishan Uday gives 10,000 scholarships a year to students from the North-Eastern Region admitted to the first year of their first UG degree (regular, full-time) at an institution in India.

Dates are from the scheme list on the National Scholarship Portal for academic year 2026-27. Apply only on scholarships.gov.in (One Time Registration first). From 2026-27 a student may apply for one merit-based scheme and one or more welfare-based schemes.
